This is a great day to sing to sing about Mother's and families in general. Choose songs that the children will enjoy singing and perhaps even go home singing them.

Suggest to the children that they find a way to serve their mothers and family.
"Families Can Be Together Forever," p. 188 is the song for July. This is also the theme for the month. This song should be a part of all primary repertoire. A fun way to review is as follows:
Ask each class to take a turn singing a phrase. (Start with an older class so the younger classes can see the example.)
Ask the oldest class to stand and sing: "I have a family here on earth."
Second class stands quickly and sings: "They are so good to me."
Continue until you reach the chorus, then everyone sings the chorus together.
Sing the second verse the same way.
You could also rotate boys and girls singing each phrase and challenge them to keep continuity - no breaks or stops between phrases.
I love music! I love to teach music, especially to children. I have a B.A in music, taught music in school for 15 years, directed a children's choir, taught piano for over 40 years and have been the Primary chorister for at least 20 years (I lost track), but those qualifications are nothing compared to my love for working with children. I am only good at what I do because of my profound love of what I do.
This blog is all about sharing my ideas to help you plant the seeds of a testimony in the hearts of children through music. Music is a powerful tool and the songs children learn at a very young age will stay with them forever.
I will share lesson plans and visuals that go along with the current Primary Sacrament Meeting Program as well as music sharing time ideas, holiday songs and ideas.
Because I have been asked for help and ideas by many new Primary choristers, this blog was born. I hope it reaches all those needing a little help, fresh ideas or last-minute lessons.
