Jumble Review

Jumble Review: He Sent His Son
 You will need:
  • Pictures of:
    • baby Jesus (He sent His son, a new born babe)
    • a red heart shape (love)
    • Christ healing the sick or preaching (He sent His Son to walk with men on earth)
    • the crucifixion (He sent His Son to die for us)
    • Christ (like His Son)
  • words printed large enough to read from the board (one word per card or paper)
    •  How, tell, world, tenderness, peace, holiness (first section of song)
    • How, show, world, pathway, go, know (second section of song)
    • How, tell, world, Sacrifice, death, rise, breath (third section of song)
    • What, does, ask, live
Tape the words in a mixed-up order around the boarder of the board along with the pictures.  Explain to the children that they are going to put the song in order with words and pictures.  Tell them the phrases that go with the pictures. Use the pictures for non-readers to help fill in the order of the song.

Start by singing the first section. Ask several children to come and put that section in order while the rest of the primary sing the section again.  Sing it as many times as needed to get the words and pictures in order.  Continue singing each section in the same way.  If time permits, sing the whole song or sing it as a closing song to help cement it in the children's mind.

NOTE: You can group each section of words and pictures if needed for a faster result.
